Registering
to be an Umpire in the NTBA |
|
In
order to be an umpire in the NTBA, you must successfully attend
an umpire clinic and pass a test given at the end of the clinic.
Alternatively, you must be certified at level 3.
To
take an NTBA hosted umpire clinic, you must read these instructions
carefully and then “Register for an NTBA Clinic” per
the instructions below as soon as possible. You will be contacted
via email a few days before the clinic. Unfortunately this year
we will only have level 1 spots for people who are umping in the
NTBA. A small number of level 2 spots in these clinics will be made
available for umps from other organizations.
If
you plan to take a clinic through another organization, but you
also want to be an umpire in the NTBA, then please “Register
to be an NTBA Ump” per the instructions below.
The
North Toronto Baseball Association will be hosting umpire clinics
to train umpires for league games. Certified trainers from the Baseball
Ontario (http://www.baseballontario.com/)
will deliver the clinics.
There
will also be an NTBA Local Rules Clinic held on Wednesday, April
28, 2010, from 7-9pm. Attendance is mandatory for everyone who intends
to ump in the NTBA. Please mark this on your calendar!
