ALL STAR TEAMS
2008 North Toronto Baseball All-star & Select Teams

NT Baseball anticipates fielding Rookie Select (99/00), Minor Mosquito AA (98), Major Mosquito A & AA (97), Minor Peewee AA (96), Major Peewee AA (95), Minor Bantam AA (94), Major Bantam AA (93) and Major Midget AA (90-92) teams in 2008. In addition "Select" teams can be added subject to securing coach volunteers.

All-star level baseball encompasses 20-30 league games on various evenings and weekends, 3 or 4 weekend tournaments, the Toronto City Championships and Labour Day Weekend Provincial Championships for teams that qualify, played from early May throughout the summer. Select baseball includes fewer league games, usually on a fixed-evening schedule.

New for 2008, NT Baseball is introducing All-star only membership where players signed to these teams need not play house-league baseball (Select team members are still required to play house-league). The All-star fee becomes $475.00 per participant.

NT Baseball won four City Championships in 2007 and six teams participated in the Provincial Championships. We hope to build on this success in 2008.

COMMITMENT
Registered players are expected to attend all games, including September playoffs, and practices. Your team mates and coaches are counting on you.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Good sportsmanship, courtesy and respect for one another are essential. Spectators, players of coaches are not permitted to harass or direct discourteous remarks at officials or at any player. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the spectator areas, around the base lines, or near the playing field. Any player or coach ejected from a game may have to appear before the Discipline Committee to determine what, if any, further sanctions may be imposed.

TRADES, BALANCING TEAMS
Team rosters are prepared in early Spring. Every effort is made to balance the teams according to age and skill level, which is based in part on the previous year's coach's evaluation for returning players. A further balancing may take place in May. Only Coaches' and Sponsors' children are safe from being traded. Requests to place players on the same team will be considered but not guaranteed for convening purposes in balancing of the teams.

VOLUNTEERS
The NTBA thrives on the continued help of its volunteers. We are always looking for coaches, assistant coaches, managers and conveners. Please get involved by completing the appropriate section of the Registration Form.

UMPIRES
Most North Toronto Baseball games are umpired by our trained registered players. Formal training clinics commence in March 2008. Early league registered qualified players will be given priority. Please indicate your interest on the Registration Form.

SPONSORS
NTBA's team sponsors are recognized not only for contributing to the success of our program financially but also by demonstrating to our children - "community support". Help keep this spirit alive by indicating "Yes" and completing the Sponsor form found at the end of the player registration form. Your support is very much appreciated.
