Coaching Clinics for NTBA Coaches
 
North Toronto Baseball Camp will be offering a series of coaching clinics for NTBA House League and All Star coaches. The clinics are free of charge to NTBA coaches. There are 2 Coaching Clinics being offered in 2013:

1. House League Clinic

Date: Sunday April 28, 2013
Location: North Toronto Memorial Community Centre
Time: 10:00am to 1:00pm
Level: House League

Description:  This clinic is designed to provide coaches with the skills and strategies to effectively instruct and coach their teams. The focus of this clinic will be on identifying and correcting common problems, and on providing examples of drills and games to re-enforce key teaching messages. The goal of the clinic is to help coaches improve every player's development and enjoyment of the game and to help facilitate the positive impact that coaches can have on youth athletics.

Note: This clinic is mandatory for at least one coach from each team in Rookie Ball and Mosquito.

2. All Star Clinic

Date: Sunday April 14, 2013
Location: North Toronto Memorial Community Centre
Time: 10:00am to 1:00pm
Level: All Star (Select, A, AA, AAA)

Description: The All Star Clinic will focus on specific skills in greater detail and at a more advanced level. In addition to providing coaches with the appropriate mechanics to teach players, the clinic will highlight effective drill progressions to reinforce these mechanics. The program will also have a video component, which will illustrate proper mechanics, common errors and drills and activities.

New for 2013: There is no specific focus for this clinic (i.e. Pitching vs. hitting vs. defense), as coaches will have the opportunity in advance of the clinic to engage the clinicians in discussions as to what skills, issues and drills they would like to be addressed at the clinic.
